Standard thermoplastic jacket for general use, fluoropolymer (PFA / FEP) for aggressive chemicals and higher temperatures, and glass-fibre braid with stainless steel overbraid for mechanical protection.

2. Does the jacket affect service life?

Yes - it is the main factor. In chemical plants and offshore environments a fluoropolymer jacket gives several times the life of a standard jacket.

3. Is tinned copper braid necessary?

The braid provides an earth path and mechanical protection. It is required for hazardous area installations and recommended on all industrial sites.

4. Can you supply cable with a specific jacket colour or marking?

Yes, subject to a minimum order quantity.
