Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the difference between Zone 1 and Zone 2?

Zone 1 is an area where an explosive atmosphere is likely to occur in normal operation; Zone 2 where it is unlikely and, if it occurs, only for a short time. Zone 1 requires equipment with the higher category of protection.

2. Which certificates do your products carry?

Our heat tracing products carry ATEX, IECEx, CE, UL and EAC certification, together with explosion-proof certificates for junction boxes, thermostats and end terminations. The full certification pack is available for project submission.

3. Do you supply the Ex junction boxes as well?

Yes. We supply Ex e / Ex d junction boxes, thermostats, temperature sensors, end seals and insulation boxes, so the whole system comes from one supplier with matched certification.

4. Can you provide the documentation for client approval?

Yes. We issue the certification pack, datasheets, heat loss calculation and installation drawings for client or consultant approval.
